Making garments is how I understand the world around me. I build clothes that move with the body, hold up under real conditions, and carry something beyond function. My work sits between fashion design and research: each project starts with a construction question (how a seam behaves, what a fabric does in freefall, how a pattern adapts to one specific body) and builds outward from there.
Growing up in an immigrant household was pioneering a path where none existed, of making life beautiful in unfamiliar territory. That instinct to thrive far beyond survival exists in me now the way it did then. It shaped how I think about design: that the vestiges of culture and lineage are not merely the foreign ornaments of our past, but the seeds that grow in future, faraway gardens.
I grew up watching science fiction. Star Trek showed me a future worth building toward. 2001 Space Odyssey and A.I. warned me what happens when we stop trying. I take both sides seriously. I believe the future is what we make of it, and I design for human culture to extend beyond the constraints of our current environment.
I’ve tested garments on parabolic flights, trained AI models on my own collections, and built made-to-order systems that store individual body data across commissions. I hope the work I do will be looked upon as one of the early efforts on the frontier of what was possible as life emerged beyond our planet.
